Liz Layne DVM, DACVD
Dr. Layne is a veterinary dermatologist with over 20 years of clinical experience. After spending 11 years in mixed and small animal practice, she completed specialty training in dermatology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she later served as a clinical instructor. She subsequently worked in specialty practices and joined IDEXX as Global Medical Affair Specialist in 2026. Her interests include dermatology research, advanced treatments such as laser surgery, and she serves as co-editor of Veterinary Dermatology.

Ariane Neuber-Watts DrMedVet CertVD DECVD MRCVS
Ariane completed her veterinary medicine degree at the University of Munich and after a spell in small animal practice returned to university to achieve her doctorate. Following an Internship at the Animal Health Trust she moved to Scotland to take up the Senior Clinical Scholarship in Veterinary Dermatology at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies. During her residency she achieved her dermatology certificate in 2002, and after finishing her studies in Edinburgh, she passed the European Diploma of Veterinary Dermatology in summer 2005. She ran a peripatetic dermatology referral service for various multidisciplinary referral centres in the south east (including Davies Veterinary Specialist, Great Western Referrals, Lumbry Park Referrals, Chiltern Referral Services) for over 15 years before returning to her native Germany in 2018. She worked in a dermatology referral practice near Frankfurt before opening her own dermatology practice, Hund Katze Haut, near Bonn in 2020. Ariane has been a consultant dermatologist for IDEXX since 2019.

Alice Tamborini DVM, DECVIM-CA (Internal Medicine) MRCVS
Alice graduated from the University of Milan and completed advanced training in Belgium and Ireland, becoming a European Specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine in 2014. After six years in UK referral practice, she joined IDEXX in 2020 and now serves as a Regional Medical Affairs Specialist, supporting the communication of the medical value of IDEXX products across Europe, particularly in the UK and Italy. She is actively involved in scientific publishing and veterinary education and serves on the Executive Committee of the ECVIM Congress.
