This presentation highlights the benefits of using NT-proBNP for felines in a multitude of situations through case examples. The cases are interspersed with information describing the science and pathophysiology behind the test, as well as the anatomy and physiology of feline cardiac disease. Clinically relevant information regarding implementation for both cage side and reference lab testing, as well as follow up steps when the test is abnormal is also covered.

Speaker Bio
Dr. Roach earned her bachelor of science degree from Mercyhurst University; she was awarded her DVM degree from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. She initially started out at an equine/alpaca internship but transitioned to small-animal medicine, where her love for geriatric dogs, cats, diagnostics, preventive care, and the human-animal bond could be fostered.
