Regular fecal testing is critical to ensuring optimal health of pets and reduces transmission of zoonotic parasites to humans. In this talk, we'll discuss why it's important to perform fecal examinations, different methodologies available for fecal testing and discuss fecal testing during wellness exams. This talk also includes relevant case studies and when to include Real PCR testing.

Speaker Bio
Dr. Kilar is a Professional Services Veterinarian with IDEXX in the Pittsburgh Region having joined IDEXX in 2023.
Dr. Kilar is a member of the InVue product champion team with a focus in hematology. Since the launch of the inVue, she has been actively involved in CETs, educating her ecosystem at regional and national meetings, and engaging her customers with educational events.
She is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine (Class of 2000) and is a current member of their admissions committee.
Dr. Kilar started her career in mixed animal practice and fell in love with emergency work. She spent much of her career as an ER doctor and eventually became the medical director of an emergency and specialty hospital in Cleveland.
In 2011, she started her own practice in northeast Ohio to serve her hometown.
Kelley shares her home with her husband, daughter, four cats, and a guinea pig. She is an avid horsewoman and enjoys riding, camping, gardening, reading, and baking. In her spare time, she volunteers her veterinary services at an animal shelter.
