Description:
This talk with focus on what to do when the preventive care visit identifies a significant abnormality in a seemingly healthy cat or dog. A brief review of current guidelines for preventive care in all life stages will be followed by a discussion of 10 unexpected historical, physical examination, or laboratory findings that are commonly seen in nonclinical pets. A practical approach for treatment and follow-up of these conditions will be discussed.

Speaker Bio
Dr. Saxon, a graduate of Iowa State University, practiced in the San Francisco area until 2007 and has also owned an intensive care unit in a specialty referral practice in Washington, D.C. He has been an IDEXX Reference Laboratories internal medicine consultant since 1997 and is a coauthor of Manual of Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care Medicine.
