Description:
Adrenal gland disease in dogs and cats can present diagnostic and therapeutic challenges, from choosing the right tests to interpreting results and guiding both acute and long-term management. This session will provide a practical approach to recognizing and managing common adrenal disorders, including Cushing’s syndrome, Addison’s disease, and less common conditions. Attendees will gain clarity on diagnostic pathways, monitoring strategies, and the most up-to-date treatment recommendations to support better outcomes for patients with adrenal disease.

Speaker Bio
Nancy received her DVM from The Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1991. She then returned to her native city of Philadelphia where she completed a general internship and small animal internal medicine residency at the University of Pennsylvania’s veterinary hospital. Nancy remained on staff at U. Penn for an additional 3 years as an attending clinician in the ICU, after which time she practiced in specialty hospitals in New Jersey and Maryland. While in private practice, Nancy concurrently completed a residency in emergency/critical care. Nancy’s positions while in practice included director of ER, ICU, and Internal Medicine departments; director of internal med. and ER/CC residency programs, and principal investigator of several clinical drug trials. After 22 years of clinical practice, Nancy joined the IDEXX medical consulting team, and recently she transitioned to the medical education specialty team, where she enjoys educating and forever learning from veterinary professionals.
