This presentation will be a discussion around preventive care as a tool for optimizing health and longevity in pets. Topics will include what preventive care consists of, age-appropriate assessment, the benefits of patient-specific information that can be trended over time and strengthening the vet-patient client bond. Updated healthstage-guidelines for dogs and cats will be reviewed.

Speaker Bio
Dr. Elizabeth Hetler is the Head of Global Corporate Accounts Medical Partnerships, where she works with senior medical leaders of corporate groups to innovate and grow together. She has previously served as a Professional Services Veterinarian and held roles in marketing and commercial learning. She did her undergraduate studies at Michigan State University, earned her DVM degree from the University of Illinois and is a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager. She practiced companion animal medicine in the Chicago suburbs and has held positions as an associate veterinarian, practice owner, medical director of a corporate practice and relief veterinarian. After nearly two decades in clinical practice, Dr. Hetler joined the IDEXX team to pursue her passion for helping the profession practice high quality medicine and operate thriving businesses and is excited to expand her scope to include corporate account groups.
