Dr. James Desir is the Corporate Accounts Medical Partnership Manager for IDEXX North America, where he partners with senior medical and corporate leaders to support high quality medicine, innovation, and sustainable growth. Originally from Connecticut, he earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut and received his DVM from Ross University, completing his clinical year at the Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. He is certified in canine sports medicine (CCRP) through the University of Tennessee and holds an MBA from Louisiana State University.
With over 15 years of clinical and leadership experience—including roles as an associate veterinarian, medical director, and director of veterinary operations—Dr. Desir has worked across general practice, urgent care, and emergency/specialty settings throughout the United States. He joined IDEXX because of his passion for fostering strong professional communities, advancing medical excellence, and supporting the personal and professional well being of veterinary teams through collaboration, education, and shared purpose.
